On Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 the beloved Freddy’s Dog Fashion Show finally returned to the streets of South Slope, Brooklyn. The fashion show was first started by Freddy’s co-owner, Donald O’Finn in 2016 and was always a blast. And not just because my dog, Leo, took home second place his first time participating. Ever since the fashion show was cancelled during Covid, I have been wanting to bring that runway back. I wanted to make Donald proud by making the event even bigger and better and really focus on the dogs. This year, the event was a fundraiser and adoption event for Badass Animal Rescue. Over $700 was raised, three lucky dogs got adopted and many foster/adoption applications were submitted. With an incredible team of helpers, sponsors, performers and attendees, the day turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Can’t wait for next year!
